Women's empowerment is described as promoting women's self-esteem, ability to make their own decisions, and right to affect social change for themselves and others.It is closely linked to female empowerment, a basic human right that is also essential for a more stable and prosperous world.
First and foremost, Gender equality is a basic human right. A woman has the right to live in dignity, free from hunger and terror. Women's empowerment is also a critical weapon for promoting growth and alleviating poverty. Women who are empowered boost the health and productivity of their families and communities, as well as the opportunities for future generations. Gender equality is one of the eight Millennium Development Goals, which emphasizes its significance. Gender equity is recognized as a criterion for achieving the remaining seven targets. Discrimination against women and girls persists, including gender-based abuse, economic inequity, reproductive health disparities, outdated cultural practices and. Inequality is still the most pervasive and enduring type. During and after humanitarian crises, especially armed conflicts, women and girls face enormous challenges.
The said celebration discussed the issues that women experience in order to achieve empowerment. It raises human rights awareness and promotes gender equality.
