   The day of Valor, also known as Araw ng Kagitingan, commemorates the heroism of Filipino fighters during World War II. Every year around April 9th, the Philippines commemorates this day. In the Philippines, Araw ng Kagitingan is a non-working holiday and a long weekend. On this day, World War II veterans marched in various cities in the Philippines.
