Act Now: Our Ecosystem Needs Us, We Need Our Ecosystem

All human beings, living objects, animals, biological and material things affects each other directly and indirectly in this world which living organisms exist, we are depending on each other for some of our daily needs or sources. For instances, we humans, animals, plants, trees, forests, mountains, rivers, the sea, wind, rain, sun, and the moon.

According to the latest Stanford University study, we are in the early phases of the earth's sixth mass extinction, which means that more than 300 terrestrial or land species have gone extinct since the 1500s. The remaining species populations display a 25% average drop in abundance, due to the ongoing loss of natural habitats and ecosystems.

The process of recovering the wildlife habitats that animals and plants depends on to preserving habitat and ecosystem functions is known as ecosystem restoration. Restoration is a restorative action that involves reducing or correcting the causes of environmental degradation and rebuilding ecological resources that preserve and regenerate ecosystems over time.

Our ecosystem and surroundings are no longer the same as they were previously. Our households' usage of aircons and refrigerators produces carbon dioxide, which has a great impact on the environment. Other man-made causes have an impact on our environment. We must restore it to its previous state or else, we will not be able to survive in such a state of a growing imbalance.Ecosystem restoration has been the topic of numerous national and international conservation programs.

Our world is a biodiversity planet, with a diverse range of animals, plant species and wildlife. And the ecosystem is made up of all of these animals and plants. In which everyone is reliant on one another and contributes to one another's well-being. We can maintain the environment safe for everyone by protecting all of these resources.

“Progress is impossible without change, and those who cannot change their minds cannot change anything.”
-George Bernard Shaw
